Here was the final route. 3,129 miles completed in about 5½ days, averaging about 10½ hours a day and loving every second of it. I wasn’t bored once and I could have done it with my phone turned off. I have no idea where I’ll be next summer but I’ll be sure to take the long way there.
I’ve driven from Chicago to Seattle and back 10 times over the past 7 years.  Without a doubt, the majority of the best moments of my life lie somewhere within that 2000 mile stretch.  Long live I-90/94.

When I drove from Indiana to Seattle, it was definitely an experience. I drove for 2.5 days with 2-hour naps every 12 hours or so. I was rushed to get out here for an interview, but I still got to see all the scenery. It was just my dog and me, but I’d do it all over again if I had to choose. Everybody needs to make a cross-country trek (especially if you live in the US).
