Unlimited calling on T-mobile (with myFaves plan)

  1. Get a myFaves plan.
  2. Get a Google Voice number.
  3. Add the Google Voice number as one of your five people.
  4. Tell people to call your Google Voice number, and only make calls through Google Voice.
  5. Make sure that Google Voice is set up to display its own number instead of the caller’s number. So I guess technically you won’t have caller ID, but that’s better than going over your minutes, eh? This is in Settings > Caller ID (in), and it’s the second option “Display my Google Voice number”.

I’m pretty sure this is cheaper than any unlimited voice plan, but I could be wrong. I’ve been doing it this way since last year, and it’s been working out quite well.

Oh, and if you’d like an invite, go ask for one, and you shall receive. I have two left, and don’t know anybody who wants one.

Note: I was informed that T-Mobile no longer offers a myFaves plan (but they continue to honor the ones that already had them before they stopped offering the plan).
